Recognition of those coaches and teams that have gone above and beyond to raise the bar of good sportsmanship by honoring the great game of basketball with high standards of excellence. We are looking for examples and stories of teams that have displayed an uncommon spirit of true sportsmanship.
The WBCA believes that “True Sportsmanship is knowing that you need your opponent because without him or her, there is no game. Acknowledging that your opponent holds the same deep-rooted aspirations and expectations as you do. Knowing that, win or lose, you will walk off the court with pride, always taking the high road.
