First youth clinic of year to take place in Milwaukee

The WBCA will be hosting several youth coaching clinics across the state in the fall and early winter this year.  The clinics are aimed at youth coaches (8th grade and below) and feature some of the top high school and D3 college coaches in the state.

The first of these clinics kicks off on Tuesday, October 6th in the Milwaukee area at Sussex-Hamilton high school.  Speakers include Craig Haase - Arrowhead Boys, Dan Carey - Hamilton Girls and Dave Buchanan - Carroll University.

The second clinic is in Eau Claire at the Eau Claire YMCA - Nelson Gym on Monday, October 19th.

The clinic features Ted Alberson, girls coach at Flambeau and Kevin Orr, boys coach at Rice Lake.  Alberson will be talking about maximizing practice and the full-court pressure that has helped him win 4 state championships.  Orr will discuss drills for individual skill development and the open post offense.  There will also be a question and answer session with a coaches panel after the two speakers.

With all clinics you can pay at the door, the cost is $10 per coach or $5 per coach community special for if your youth club brings 20 attendees.
